You just want to write your memoir.
You’d like to leave a record of your life for your family, to create a narrative in your own voice from the memories locked in your own head. You’ve started to research this process, and you’re hitting roadblocks.
You’re unearthing rules and guidelines, do’s and don’ts, volumes of information carrying the warning: “What You Must Learn Before You Start Your Memoir!” Soon writing your memoir sounds terrifying, intimidating, numbing—and maybe impossible. Is it really that big a deal?
No!
Actually, yes. Your memoir is a big deal, because your life is a big deal. It’s your life! And publishing a “book of me” is pretty cool. Still, in the grander context of your life, writing a memoir should not feel like an overwhelming chore. Creating your narrative should be joyful for some, cathartic for others.
You can do this.

Testimonials

“I wanted to thank you again for all your help with the book. My family loved it—and my Dad was so proud of it. Best was the way that my mother (who has dementia) wouldn’t put the book down and kept looking through it—these were memories she still had and could really enjoy. You had a huge role in producing something that is very meaningful to my whole family. Thank you.” — Dot Sandhaus

Meet Rosanne
I’m Rosanne Ullman, the owner of Write My Memoirs. When you arrange a call, you’ll speak with me. I’m also likely to be your coach and editor.
Why would you want to work with me?
I’m an excellent, accomplished writer and editor with a Master’s Degree from Northwestern University’s esteemed Medill School of Journalism. I’m ethical, nice, non-judgmental and easily accessible. I champion all of our authors as I help each of you to share your life, your truth, in your own voice.
I fell in love with the art and craft of memoir in the early 2000s, when Write My Memoirs founder Sheldon Gray hired me to develop content for the website, which he created when he found no help online to write his own memoir. After working with me for a couple of years, Sheldon brought me on as his business partner. Unfortunately, Sheldon died in 2013. Now I rely on a small circle of trusted professionals to help me help you, and I watch Sheldon’s dream come to life every day as people write and publish their stories.
